CASE STUDY

Tennessee Manufacturer Saves 30% on Comcast Business (with Faster Internet!)

SUMMARY

A manufacturer in Tennessee came to BillFixers stuck in a contract at $500 a month for their Comcast Business service. They needed high speed internet and phones in their facility, but felt they weren’t getting their money’s worth.

BillFixers negotiated a new contract with Comcast Business that brought the price of the internet down from $500/mo to $340/mo, while also increasing the internet speed from 100Mbps to 150Mbps! This 30% reduction in price will save them almost $6,000 over the life of the contract.

Tennessee Comcast Business Internet Savings Before and After

The biggest change was to this portion of the bill. Without BillFixers, increasing their Comcast internet speed would have cost $50 a month more.

Instead, their new 150Mbps internet cost $85 a month less.

Situation

A state-of-the-art industrial manufacturer ran their factory and offices out of one location in East Tennessee. They needed fast, business-class internet to run their equipment and manage their office and operations.

They were already in the middle of a contract with Comcast with $65/mo of discounts, so they weren’t sure if they’d be able to save money until the contract ended. They were paying $500 a month, which would have gone up to $550 if they wanted to upgrade to faster internet.

Their company phones, static IP, and equipment were all set up through Comcast, so they didn’t want to switch. And the next fastest provider in the area could only offer 25Mbps, which was too slow for their usage. So, they were stuck—too slow speeds, too high of a price, and no solution.

BillFixers Resolution

BillFixers immediately started negotiating a new contract with Comcast Business. The first step was increasing the internet speed at the facility from 100Mbps to 150Mbps. That new internet speed otherwise would have cost $50/mo more from Comcast Business. Instead, BillFixers was able to negotiate a discount that brought the internet price down by $85.

In addition to the new internet discount, BillFixers negotiated lower rates on their phones and additional fees. The office had been paying extra every month for long distance calls, so BillFixers negotiated free long distance service as well. All in all, their monthly bill dropped from just over $500 a month to $340 a month.

If the manufacturing business had upgraded their internet speed themselves, they would have spent $1,800 more over the next three years on their Comcast Business bill. Instead, they’re now spending $5,820.05 less.
